These days, you see a lot of different companies starting blogs for themselves. With the ubiquity of the web now, blogging can be very beneficial for any company that wishes to use the web to get the word out about their company and what they do. Having a blog is best way to reach the most amount of people in a short amount of time.
Another benefit of blogging about your company, is that it lets your customers feel like they are apart of your business. Commenting on blogs is optional based on the administrator, however, it can give your customers a chance to voice their opinion either about the company itself, or the products. It is a great platform to be able to hear directly from your customer base and build relationships.
Having a blog also helps you network with other companies in your industry. For example, I have my own blog on web design, and since I’ve started, I’ve made a lot of connections with other bloggers, as well as been able to learn more about my industry from visiting other bloggers’ sites who visit my site. It’s been very beneficial to me, and can also be for your company.
With RSS becoming more mainstream, it allows users to be able to subscribe to your company blog, either with a feed reader, or they can subscribe through email and be notified as soon as you update the site.
These are just a few of the benefits that can come from blogging about your company and its products. It’s great way to reach out to your customers and keep them in the loop about the company. It lets those customers know that you are knowledgeable about the products that you are selling, and building trust. Of course there’s a good chance that having a blog can bring in new business as well. So, if you’re a company on the verge of starting a blog, I would recommend to make that jump. It’s worth it.
