Tridea at GVSU

Written by Tyler on November 18th, 2007

On November 13th, I was invited by a friend and student of the Grand Valley State University business program to come in and speak to his class. For those of you who don’t know, GVSU is a relatively new university, and their campus is very modern and clean. I was given a small tour, and the buildings are larger than they let on, and the furnishings are quite nice. Once I was set up with the projector and my laptop, I proceeded to present on the origins of Tridea Design, who we were, what our goals were and other basic information.

The class had lots of great questions for me, which lead to discussions about company motivation, the utility of web technologies like Flash, and also about the kind of resources we get our information and inspiration from. They were an inquisitive bunch, and at one point, I had to get John’s opinion, and logged into AIM and engaged him with questions on behalf of the class!

I loved the experience of speaking with a class full of motivated students, and hope that they learned a thing or two from what we’ve learned along the way.
